Thank you so much for visiting Forget Me Knot Weddings! I am the owner & lead planner, Kristin Cirillo.
I am often asked why I decided to become an event planner. Besides my love of love and romance, the main person to give the credit is my mother! She was always the “hostess with the mostess”! Parties at her house had the best food, the cleanest/most stylish décor and even the best handwriting for the invitations! She always came up with something people would be talking about for years to come.
An example is her trifle talent! She’d come up with American Flag Trifles for the 4th of July or “Dirt” Trifles with crushed Oreos, gummy worms and even a shovel to make it look like chocolate “dirt”.
This is where I got the idea for Forget Me Knot Weddings. What will people remember about your special day? Every wedding has flowers, food and dancing… but what will make yours special? I love coming up with new traditions, like a Jewish-Japanese wedding where we served Miso-Matzo Ball Soup! Or choreographing a dance with your wedding party to your favorite song! The possibilities are endless and I look forward to creating your unique memories!
What sets me apart from other wedding planners? Events are my life! I don’t have any children, or even pets, because I am often on the road for destination weddings. You can call me at 8:00 pm and I will pick up! I also have a unique style and strive for perfection in all aspects of my events. I live by the mantra “Higher Expectations lead to Higher Outcomes.” There will not be a petal out of place at your wedding… I will make sure of it!
My style is a reflection of all the places I have lived in my life: The Hamptons, Manhattan, Naples, FL, and Paris, France. All of these high-end places have created an elegance and sophistication, with a side of fun and whimsy! Now that I am in Colorado, a bit of industrial, modern chic is a part of my repertoire! Creativity has always been my strong-suit and I love when couples ask me my opinion on décor and styling!
Often wedding planners will joke that a wedding always runs late. Not my weddings! I create a very thorough wedding timeline and it is my job to make sure we stick to it! I help coordinate your other vendors and come up with solutions in case something does not execute as planned. The most important aspect of this is that the couple remains relaxed and stress-free. If something pops up, we are prepared ahead of time to tackle it, often without the bride or groom knowing about it!
